“MY LITTLE CONCERT ANTHOLOGY” part IV – CONCERT OF GREAT PIANIST NADA KOLUNDŽIJA

On Thursday, December 1st (20h) at the Art Centre “GUARNERIUS” our celebrated pianist and one of the most important artists and promoter of contemporary music, NADA KOLUNDŽIJA, will present the fourth part of her project “MY LITTLE CONCERT ANTHOLOGY”.

On the program of the concert are compositions for piano by Friedrich Nietzsche, Terry Riley, Lola Perrin, Ivana Stefanović, David Lang and Nico Muhley.

In the previous three concerts of this anthology, which was held in 2014, Nada Kolundžija performed the works of piano literature written from 1926 to the present day and summed nearly four decades of research of contemporary music production from the aspect as she stated, of a curious performer.

The fourth part of this concert project brings us Serbian premiere of Nico Muhley’s composition the Drones, for piano and tape.

This project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Belgrade.

Pianist NADA KOLUNDŽIJA is the most important Serbian performer and promoter of the contemporary music, and she is the winner of numerous international awards and recognitions.

For years, she has been presenting the most important works of Shoenberg, Feldman, Xenakis, Berio, Messiaen, Cage, Satie, Kagel, Stockhausen and many other composers, with a premiere performances. On her wast repertoire, there have always been works of Serbian authors, many of them written especially for Ms Kolundžija.

Working as a professor at the Faculty of Music, Belgrade, she had risen the interest for the contemporary music expression in many of her students.
