MUSIC AND POETRY – CONCERT OF MARIA MONE AND ALEXANDER KARPOV

Alexander Karpov, Russian composer and pianist. Alexander graduated Rimsky-Korsakov Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory as a choir conductor. As a composer, he has been collaborating with the french company ” La toison d’art. Music composed by Alexander was played in many concert halls such as “Théâtre du Châtelet” in Paris (France), the cathedral church in Bruxelles (Belgium), Opera Monte-Carlo, and many others in Netherlands, Germany, and other European cities. Mostly he composes contemporary music for ballets, musicals, and music for drama pieces. In Russia, he usually works with choreographer Vladimir Varnava and director Maxim Didenko. In 2019 a short film that he made together with Maxim was performed at the Bauhaus festival in Weimar

Maria Mone, Russian poet and musician. She graduated from Moscow College of Improvised music as a jazz singer. Maria has been writing poems and songs and performing at popular venues in Moscow and other Russian cities. Her concerts are a mix of music, poetry, and stories about people who risked devoting themselves to what they really love.
