Albina Smajlović was born in 1982 in Gradiška (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Graduated from the Department of Serbian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Banja Luka, and solo singing at the Academy of Art in Banja Luka. She has perfected her vocal technique with tenor Dragoslav Ilić.

She has received numerous awards: first and special prize at the Republic competition (2005 and 2007), first prize at the “Lazar Jovanović” competition in Belgrade (2005 and 2010), third prize at the competition “Nikola Cvejić” in Ruma (2005), second prize at the competition “Bruna Špiler” in Herceg Novi (2009).

She held two concerts in Belgrade and Zagreb, named “Friendship Concerts” in 2010, organized by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zagreb. Attended master classes with renowned opera singers and teachers, baritone Thomas Kraus, at the Academy of Music in France (Academie musicale de Villecroze 2011) and American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmur, organized by the Belgrade “Operose”, 2016.

Albina performed at the Music Festival “Nei Suoni dei luoghi” in Italy, in 2013. Realized numerous of outstanding performances at home and abroad. She is member of the Association of singers of opera music “Figaro” from Banja Luka.
